We lost our Grandmother on the 18th of this month suddenly from heart failure. She was our last grandparent and we miss her already. I am not sure it has really hit me yet.

Here is what I wrote and said (crying) at the graveside service. It was nothing that her and I did not already talk about. I am so thankful for that.
Birds chirping the sound of the creek flowing and the wind through the tree branches were a familiar sounds as Gram and I hiked through the woods together. Many days and hours were spent together just enjoying nature and each others company. I would often say lets go take a little walk and 5 hours later we would be miles from the house. Mom even had to come pick us up in the car a time or two because we were so far away. We often giggled about those memories we shared together and all the times I needed to push her up the steep hills and banks. I cherish those times we spent together and will for the rest of my life.
Gram, Thanks for always entertaining my idea of a "little" walk even though you knew otherwise. Those were truly good times.
Always wash your hands before you cook Gram would tell us girls and then she taught us to use a figure eight when stirring things in a cooking pot. I still do this today and I have taught my own children to do the same.
Gram made the best choc. no bake cookies and whole made egg noodles in the world. I miss those tastes already.
Gram taught me many things throughout the years. One of the most valuable things was how to count back change, so that I did not have to rely on a cash register or calculator. I have had many compliments and thank yous from customers ever since thanks to her.
Gram you were very generous with your time and your listening ear. You adored all your Great Grand kids as they all enjoyed you too.
We all made choices that you did not agree with from time to time, yet you still loved us and did not hold it against us in anyway. We love you for that and many other things.
We were blessed that you were in our lives as long as you were and that you were such a wonderful and caring person. You will be missed. We will ALWAYS love you.
